Ministry at the Time of Death

When someone is approaching death, the family may wish the Vicar or another member of clergy to pray for the dying person. This may be done in private or with the family present. This can be a very special time for the family, where there is an opportunity to say goodbye and to thank God for their relative's life before passing away. It is usually better to inform the minister as soon as possible and preferably call him while the individual is still awake, although this may not always be possible. Prayers may also be offered immediately after death.

Please note that there is no fee normally payable for this service. You may wish to make a voluntary donation towards the mission of the church, although there is no obligation to do so. All matters will be treated with uttermost confidentiality.

If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact the Parish Office.
