Getting Involved

The Bible teaches that we are all gifted by God and we are encouraged to use whatever gifts we have in service. There are many ways you can get involved in the life and ministry of the church. Indeed, there is no better way to become a part of the community of St. Mary's than by volunteering for one of the many ministries in the church.

This may include simple tasks during the week like helping with church cleaning, gardening or DIY, to helping with Parent and 0-5 Club, or distributing leaflets. Then there are the various Sunday activities such as helping on the Welcome Team, offering lifts to church, being a Sidesperson (handing out service sheets and hymn books), flower arranging, helping with church audio/pa, and helping with the car parking.

Other ministries include leading or helping out in Creche or Junior Church or helping with the young people, reading the Bible in church, leading the intercessions, being on the Prayer Ministry Team or being part of the choir, music group or band.

If you are interested in getting involved, please contact the Parish Office who will provide you with a list of Church Ministries.
