Children's Groups

We are blessed by God with many children at St Mary's and we aim to help them integrate into the church family, grow in their understanding of God and his Word and help them in time find a personal relationship with Jesus. All the family start by meeting together in church for the main morning services at 10.00am and 11.30am. After a short time of worship, the children then leave for their activities.

The following are the groups available for each age-group; meeting during both morning services (except when there is All-age Worship on the 4th Sunday at 10.00am and during the Summer months):

Creche (ages 0-3 years)
The Creche provides a safe and friendly place during a service for babies and toddlers, and their parents if they want to stay in! The creche runs from before the start of the church meeting. The Creche is a carpeted room, located in the Magdalene Centre. There is also a 'quiet area' at the back of church to allow parents and toddlers to remain in the service if they wish to.

Bubbles (ages 3-5 years)
The aim is to introduce the children to Jesus in a welcoming a secure atmosphere, using stories, colouring and games. The group meets in small room in the Magdalene Centre.

Splash (ages 5-7 years)
The aim is to bring the Bible alive for the children through a variety of practical activities, stories, songs, crafts and games. The group meets in the Hall in the Magdalene Centre.

X-stream (ages 7-11 years)
Each week the group looks at a Bible story in a fun way and tries to get to know Jesus better. The children enjoy games, crafts, singing and other activities. Off-site activities are organised from time to time.
